[Who We Are Looking For]

NCIC-Immersion School is looking for a highly collaborative teacher to support early language development in a dual language, dual culture in early childhood (Kindergarten to Middle School). This will be a co-teaching position paired with an English-immersion teacher. Both immersion teachers will be responsible for co-planning literacy, science and social studies instruction in English. In addition, the Chinese-immersion teacher will be responsible for Chinese context Music and Art classes in an integrative model. Knowledge of the Reading and Writing Workshop model, project based learning, WIDA, and Common Core Standards is desired. Cultural sensitivity, reflective teaching practice, and a growth mindset are essential.

[Qualifications]

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

English/Mandarin bilingual proficiency

Professional verbal and written communication skills

Undergraduate degree or above. Teaching credential/certificate required.

Previous classroom teaching experience required. Experience with young children preferred.

Comfort with technology including OS X, Microsoft Office, Excel and databases

Efficient organizational skills. Attention to details a must.
