Job Description:

Teaching English through literature with a strong focus on grammar in order to develop a strong foundation in reading, writing, speaking and listening.  

Responsibilities:

• Present English lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
• Teaching STEM curriculum
• Provide and promote interactive learning
• Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback
• Collaborate with other teachers and parents, and participate in regular meetings
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending workshops
• Create educational resources
• Be an organised and effective class teacher
• Deliver after school ECAs once a week
• Work as a productive member of English Department team of 14 NETs 

Requirements:

• Native standard of spoken and written English
• A recognised Bachelor’s degree from a local/ overseas university, PGCE or PGDE preferred
• An internationally recognised qualification in Teaching English as a Second Language (such as CerTESOL or Cambridge CELTA)
• Proven experience as a primary school teacher
• Appropriate reference from current and previous employer, corroborated by phone calls
• Well-organised and committed
• Passionate, positive, patient, creative and energetic
• Strong moral values and discipline
• Culturally sensitive and tolerant
• A willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures and contribute to wider school activities
