Job Responsibilities: The following conditions refer to the "2023 National Natural Science Foundation Outstanding Young Scientist Fund (Overseas) Project Guidelines", please refer to the 2024 guidelines for the final version.
1. Comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, possess good scientific ethics, and consciously practice the spirit of scientists in the new era.
2. Born on or after January 1, 1984.
3. Ph.D. degree.
4. The research direction is mainly in natural sciences, engineering technology, etc.
5. From obtaining a Ph.D. degree until March 15, 2024, generally, you should have held a formal teaching or research position in overseas universities, research institutions, or enterprise R&D institutions for more than 36 consecutive months. For those who have obtained a Ph.D. degree overseas and have outstanding achievements, the work experience requirement can be appropriately relaxed.
6. Have research or technical achievements recognized by peers and have the potential to become academic leaders or outstanding talents in the field.
7. Applicants have not yet worked full-time in China or returned to China for work after January 1, 2023. After receiving the funding notice, they must resign from their overseas job or have no job overseas and work full-time in China for no less than 3 years.
8. Implement the requirements of the relevant central departments on the overall coordination of the national science and technology talent plan. Individuals supported by the same level of the national science and technology talent plan can only undertake one project during the support period at the same level and cannot apply in reverse.
