Microsoft Software Technology Center at Asia (STCA) aims to the best user experience for Web Search, Advertisement, Cloud, and Enterprise services. The Natural Language Processing (NLP) Group in STCA has more than 150 scientists and engineers, working on various NLP techniques and applications.

Research Directions

Ÿ Develop novel NLP techniques for various Microsoft products, including Bing, Cortana, XiaoICE, Enterprise Search, and so on;

Ÿ Collaborate with Microsoft Research Asia, and explore cutting-edge NLP technology;

Ÿ Build NLP platform to empower 3rd enterprises and enable the landing of NLP techniques in various domains, such as finance, government, and publishing.

Responsibility

Ÿ Address challenges in products through Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning approaches and publish papers;

Ÿ Track state-of-the-arts techniques, and keep lead positions in public competitions of various NLP tasks, including IR, QA, MRC, and Dialogues, etc.

Ÿ Explore fundamental challenges for NLP and make breakthrough

Requirements

Ÿ Ph.D. (or Master) in Computer Science, Statistics or related areas

Ÿ Strong publication record

Ÿ Proficient in at least one common programming language, such as Pythin/C++/Java
