Eaton’s Electronics Division is currently seeking a New Product Introduction Engineer, Power Electronics to join our team. This position is located in the Pleasanton, CA location. Relocation will be provided. Position Overview: The NPI Engineer interfaces with customers, marketing and technical teams to provide technical support to the automotive industry by designing and developing power electronics components and circuits and implementing them to production. In this function you will: Interact with our automotive representative and strategic automotive customers and interpret their specifications to define product requirements for power electronics component and circuit design. Provide technical solutions to customers power electronics circuits. Perform engineering analysis and detailed design of magnetic components & power electronics circuits meeting cost and quality target. Coordinate with customers on the qualification and production cycle. Lead design, manufacturing, quality team to generate qualification plan and to qualify the components/circuits. Lead multifunction teams to implement the designs into production within budget, quality, and timing target. Provide customer technical support, customer quality support, and internal manufacturing support. Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience Preferred qualifications: Experience with power magnetics design Experience with power electronics circuit design Experience with automotive industry Position Criteria: Excellent verbal and written communication skill Experience in AEC Q200 Experience in Ansys FEA DFSS belt Experience in PCB design #LI-SC1 Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
