Job Description
Job Synopsis:

At this education center, you’ll be teaching young learners at our modern language schools located around Beijing. We hope you can create and develop a fun, positive, and challenging learning atmosphere to help students cultivate skill in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Our class sizes include no more than fifteen students to allow for both a good amount of classroom interaction and smooth classroom management. Our curriculum is built around textbooks from National Geographic Learning, so they’re filled with captivating pictures, fascinating articles, and stories of exploration and adventure.


Main Responsibilities:
• Teaching young learners aged 5 to 16 years old in Beijing
• Create an engaging and challenging learning environment
• Help students improve skill in areas such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking • Teach with a curriculum based on National Geographic Learning series books for young learners
• A maximum class size of 15 students
• Maximum of 120 hours a month - 30 teaching hours per week (no office hours)
• Additional classes and responsibilities are available for additional compensation
• Class size: maximum of 15 students per class
• Student age: 5 – 16 year olds
• Plan lessons and classroom activities
• Weekend classes with 2 days off during the weekdays
• Assist in school’s promotional events
• Attend staff meetings and teacher training


Compensation:
• Excellent salary: 14,000 – 28000 RMB per month (based on qualifications & experience)
• 4,000 RMB monthly housing allowance
• Annual Flight Allowance and Contract Completion Bonus (6000 + 4000 RMB paid on completion of contract)

• National holidays plus 14 paid personal leave
• Legal, fully-financed ‘Z’ work visa provided

• Professional pre-job training with ongoing program supervision


Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• TESOL certificate 120 hours plus preferred (No TESOL? – the school can sponsor one)
• Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa
• 1 year of relevant teaching experience preferred
• Clean criminal record check
• Professional, positive, and culturally aware
• Energetic, friendly, and hard-working
