Eaton’s Electrical Sector - Canada is currently seeking a Manager, Operational Excellence to join our team. This position is based at our Burlington, Ontario location. Position Overview: This position is responsible to coach, teach and lead the Continuous Improvement and Quality functions for the Canadian organization. This position also leads divisional resources through the proven processes including enterprise performance management, operations assessment, Op-A, and EBSA. This person will act as a resource and drives the education, training, and cultural shift of our employees through implementation of our integrated operating systems and transferable practices resulting in differentiated business results from our peers and competitors. In this function you will: Lead and train divisional resources through the proven processes including CIF deployment, Lean certification, Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), ELSS assessments, EQMS assessments, enterprise performance management, operations assessment (Op-A), and EBSA. Drive excellence and compliance across our operational excellence focus and scope including our design for six sigma, lean systems, quality systems, PROLaunch, and cost out initiatives. In addition, focus on all functional areas of excellence will include communications, engineering & technology, finance, HR, IT, legal, public and community affairs, sales, and marketing. Develop, gather, and analyses key organizational metrics related to the Balanced Scorecard and perform periodical reviews to evaluate trends and results and establish action plans to provide the necessary improvement at an operational level Oversee the program, manage our plant-wide OpA implementation and OpA Assessment, including foundation development for sites new to Eaton and EBS. This includes managing the deployment, implementation, and monitoring of the EBS initiatives (EBSA, ELSS, EQMS, IDB, OpA). Develop and implement a OpEx organizational structure capable of supporting the strategic initiatives and lead the efforts to integrate quality into the development of short- and long-range business plans. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution is required. Minimum of 10 years of related experience in manufacturing and management Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodology, tool and problem solving required. Be legally authorized to work in Canada without the sponsorship of a company. Preferred qualifications: Master’s Degree is preferred Six Sigma Black Belt an asset Certified OpA Assessor and have a minimum of 3 years of experience implementing or leading OpA assessments (ELSS, EQMS) Position Criteria: Establishes and maintains important, strategic relationships Strong interpersonal and planning skills with proven ability to lead change through both direct and indirect (influencing) abilities leadership and communication skills be a self-starter and be able to lead cross-functional teams.
