Eaton’s Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) division is hiring a National Services Operations Manager to join our team. This position will be based out of our Toronto, Ontario location. Position Overview: The National Services Operations Manager for CPDI is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the CPDI Service Canadian operations toward achieving sales, profit and growth goals, while continually improving quality and customer service levels within the CPDI service teams. As the window to the local market, the National Service Operations Manager’s charge is to increase the net present value of Eaton’s relationship with assigned territory customers by driving near-term revenue and positioning Eaton for larger wins in the future. The National Service Operations Manager is responsible for leading & developing his or her direct reports, to drive top performance and world class customer support. Eaton Corporation’s CPDI Division designs Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, power digital infrastructure and electronic based products to ensure reliability in the most demanding applications. UPS systems condition power to protect against power quality hazards, as well as provide continuous backup power during outages. Like an automobile, UPS systems require preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Essential functions include: Assure the safety of employees who work in low, medium, and high voltage work environments, including the development & deployment of safety programs, maintaining compliance with safety policies, and facilitating the availability of safety equipment resources. Act as sales and marketing agent in conjunction with sales and operations management to ensure top line sales and bottom-line profit objectives are met. Provide strategic direction to identify and develop prospective new customers. Develop forwarding looking profit plan and monthly forecasts with accuracy so that the operation meets these numbers on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. Responsible for budgeting and procurement of capital equipment for the region, efficient execution of sales quotes, cost control, leveraging subcontractors, inventory management, managing receivables, and turn of backlog and projects. Assure an effective and skilled staff through recruiting, assessment of talent (find gaps and follow action plans to fill gaps), training & development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal, and conformance to applicable company policies and standards. Provide leadership and direction to ensure professional growth for employees and retention within the region. Effectively manages leadership team of diverse and dispersed field-based workforce throughout assigned region. Demonstrates good corporate citizenship. Develop and deploy product/process improvement initiatives and sharing of best practices throughout and across the regions. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Technologist Diploma from an accredited institution required Minimum seven (7) years of people leadership experience Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Business Administration Minimum of five years leading a service or engineering unit Strong knowledge of uninterruptable power systems and control products, as well as field service practices and procedures and quality programs. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer relationships and resolve complaints. Demonstrated ability to lead people and manage a large fiscal entity. Ability to communicate effectively and equally well with senior corporate executives, engineers and technicians.
