New Century English School is one of Dalian's most reputable English schools. Founded in 1999, we have enjoyed two decades of growth as children and youth from all over the city love our hands-on, activity based lessons. Our students dream of going to university or finding work abroad and our Spoken English Teachers play an important role in making their dreams a reality.
We pioneered a unique teaching method, where both a native English speakers and our local, qualified Chinese English teachers work in partnership to create interactive and enjoyable lessons. This partnership will provide you with valuable guidance and experience managing the classroom and help you quickly get up to speed with our innovative teaching strategies.
About You
You will be enthusiastic, open-minded and willing to learn Chinese culture and organised. You love working with youth and children and will help make the classroom a fun and enjoyable place to work. You will have, or are willing to obtain a TESOL of TEFL qualification and have completed a university degree to satisfy the government's working visa requirements (non-Education degrees are fine!).
The Role
Working with a local Chinese English Teacher, you will prepare and run engaging classroom activities designed to build confidence speaking English. You'll encourage students to have a go, and acknowledge their progress. This is a very hands-on role, with very minimal time spent in the office! You'll work between 3-5 days per week and earn a salary/benefits package of up to 15,000CNY per month (a very comfortable living wage in China).
