We are looking for a Network Architect to integrate our Network team, in the Wireless LAN area, which is customer-oriented, innovative and always looking to improve the service. The Network Architects together with our providers and a thorough understanding of the technology, are crucial for the creation of an invaluable service that stays on the forefront of technology for Siemens WLAN Services. Your challenge will be… Design, plan, develop and improve the Siemens Wireless LAN service Support the service strategy development with, for example, long-term roadmaps Proactively develop tools, guidelines, processes and standards for Wireless solutions and services Support and consult on network architectures and Wireless concepts Support implementation of new WLAN solutions and location based services Clearly assess risks and derive appropriate measures to reduce them Communicate technical designs and risks to diferent stakeholders, including the managment Engage with service provider to ensure quality of service, delivery of innovation, productivity and problem / incident resolution Does this sound good? Our perfect candidate must have… Higher technical education (university level), preferably with experience in the technology industry - ideally with a focus on Network (WLAN) services > 2 years of experience in an Architect related role, with a focus on WLAN Network Services and solutions Knowledge of WLAN network infrastructure and their management platforms (e.g. Aruba or Cisco), including Location based services Knowledge of WLAN planning and testing tools (e.g. Ekahau) Knowledge of IP networks (IPv4, IPv6, routing) and network technologies and platforms, as LAN/WLAN, WAN/SD-WAN, DHCP, DNS, Radius Certification in WLAN Technology (e.g. Cisco CCNA or Aruba ACMP), lean/agile project management or ITIL is a plus Experience in Service Management and ITIL processes Business-fluent English language skills (speaking and writing) is necessary. German language skills would be of advantage.
