In this role, you have the opportunity to

Join Philips Patient Care and Monitoring Solutions group as a Network Design Engineer!

You are responsible for

  • Owning and designing network topologies for implementation of complex IT solutions, which carry proprietary real-time. life critical data and are required to reliably output to hospital IT environments

  • Providing consultation to healthcare institutions on IT network strategies and integration into hospital network infrastructure

  • Communicating complex network designs to local implementation teams to ensure acceptable Quality of Service (QOS) once in production

  • Providing technical system configurations of network infrastructure to ensure viability of system performance and review design changes when necessary

  • Directing a diverse team of internal and external installation resources as it pertains to network infrastructure

  • Sharing responsibility of successful project completion with the assigned Project Manager and project team

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

BS in Engineering/Computer Science/Healthcare/Bio disciplines with at least 5 years of experience (or AS with at least 8 years of experience, in Healthcare / IT environments preferred)

  • CCNP certification is required (CCDA or CCDP preferred)

  • Extensive knowledge of information system technologies as reflected in formal Cisco certifications.

  • Knowledge of Patient Monitoring systems as reflected in completion of formal vendor training highly desired

  • Ability to influence internal and external resources to a stated objective without formal lines of authority

  • Effective communicate to CXO level management - internal and external.

  • Strong in translating customer needs and priorities into solutions

  • Deliver required results with high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Previous experience working in a healthcare environment highly desired

  • Ability to travel up to 50% where the projects require

  • Must hold a valid driver's license
