JOB SUMMARY:

The Network Engineer will be responsible for delivery and operation of 5G and WLAN Solution for the Universal Beijing Theme Park & Resort. S/he will be managing network that support guests, employees, and third-party partners. S/He will drive technical operation, solution deployment and development; and manage technical operating resources.

The individual will focus on developing detailed plans to implement 5G/WIFI systems/infrastructure aligned to multiple business groups like construction & implementation, guest services, revenue operations, food & beverage, technical services, and others. The role would need monitor and maintain the performance of network, and keep optimizing in order to provide best user experience.

This is a key position on a lean team focused on opening Universal Parks & Resort’s first theme park in China, and will require an individual that can work effectively & positively in a highly complex and dynamic working environment. S/he will be asked to balance a broad set of priorities and ensure progress is made on all tracks of work.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Network Delivery: · Partner with operation team, IT application and tech service team(s) to deliver new business capabilities through system implementations: · Manage the complete network infrastructure development process including implementation, testing, operating, as well as iterative post-production enhancements for both “buy” or “build” solutions; · Deliver network topology for a mixed environment, and provide network service for both internal and external users Network Operation & Management: · Monitoring network performance, and provide status updates and optimization solution; · Maintain network configuration for internal users, partners and consumers. · Evaluate network system risk(s) and effectively create mitigation plans; · Collaborate with business users, internal and external technology teams in order to deliver suitable network service that exceeds requirements ensuring compliance with enterprise standards; · Establish good working relationships with global function team, general contractor, development team, integrators and other teams from business and technology groups; · Drive and influence technology decisions regarding architecture, including data structures and algorithms; ensure information security & privacy policies are adhered to; Technology leadership: · Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable network tools; contribute technically to projects; · Develop and manage extensible, stable code bases for a variety of network system; · Provide technical subject matter and thought leadership within the area of application/infrastructure implementation weighing the pros/cons of design and technology decisions; · Evaluate various frameworks, technology and platforms to deliver world-class network systems & infrastructure. · Architect cohesive & innovative enterprise solutions that bridge operational systems, business intelligence, mobile & advanced capabilities; Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years of solid experience of network.

• Good understanding and hands on experience at:

• Intelligent WAN (iWAN)/SDWAN with Broadband

• Familiar with 5G solution of China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom

• Familiar with Aruba, Cisco and H3C on WLAN products

• Knowledge LAN/WAN/Security/Video support and engineering experience

• Knowledge or Experience with packet/protocol analyzers to find and remedy application and network performance issues

• Knowledge and experience with Video Conferencing

• Knowledge with installation and maintenance of WiFi 802.11x and WiFi 802.11ax systems

• Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, Power Point and Project

• Proven experience of working with ITIL or similar framework.

• Excellent logical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Be part of Network Execution which is responsible for implementation, deployment, operation and product life cycle management of network infrastructure. Including both internal campus/trading network and external (client facing) and internet connectivity
• Manages the day-to-day operations by monitoring network performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained.
• Develop operational procedure and tools to support daily operation of network
• Stays current with technological developments in network administration technology and recommends ways to superior to take advantage of new technology
• Work with global network team on providing level 3 escalation for troubleshooting incidents.
• Work with local service providers, vendors, stock exchanges for network connectivity setup.
• Work with internal and external clients to understand the network requirements and provide network solutions
• Provide oversight on all network related changes and articulate the change in scope, risk and impact to business
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventory and documentation for network infrastructure

• Other responsibilities as directed.

Preferred: CCIE or other similar certifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in WAN/LAN Network solutions

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related disciplines

• Experience in Theme Parks, Retail, or Hospitality technology solutions;

• Experience in 5G technology and implementation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

• Self-motivated & accountable, with a high level of commitment to responsibility;

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with all stake holders;

• Language – Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English;

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications (or equivalent relevant work experience).

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems is highly desirable
