Job Duties

• Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.

• Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment.

• Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.

• work closely with departmental managers to determine future network needs and plan for network changes

• Develop methods and tools to be used to test and implement new LAN/WAN equipment

• Create projects that are designed to either add functionality required by the company or to address ongoing network failure issues

• Engage in regular network troubleshooting activities and resolve network connectivity issues

• Analyze the current network structure and submit quarterly comprehensive reports to executive team on how to make the network more efficient

• To manage the security of network by configuring firewall, anti-virus software and intrusion detection systems. To manage emails and configure anti-spam protection.

• to manage and optimize the use of servers while backing up all the important data

• to configure and maintain the organization’s computer network including both software and hardware like routers and switches

  Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field required (Master’s degree preferred)

• 5+ years’ successful network troubleshooting experience

• Cisco certified network certifications preferred (CCNA, MCSA, CCNP etc…)

• Must be able to complete complex projects with minimal to no supervision

• Proven experience managing a large and complex network

• Experience on Vsan/VxRail VM environment

• Effective problem-solving skills

• Strong safety record and a history of establishing safe work practices

• Ability to Communicate Effectively to help customers fix their issues and feel satisfied with the experience, Writing and Editing Skills to aid in writing and updating manuals, Education in Computer Repairs and how to Troubleshoot Problems (degree from a university or technical school is preferred), and Specific Knowledge of other required Computer Systems for different work environments

• Proper understanding all types of hardware including routers, switches, wires and other essential equipment.

• Knowledge of IP addressing and some common networking protocols like IPv4 and IPv6.

• Knowledge of the common operating systems such as Windows (XP, Vista, and Windows 7, Window 10), Linux and MAC OS.

• Disaster Recovery

• Knowledge of various Networking Services such as directories, AD Policies, files, distributed applications, email, HTTP, FTP, DNS and some other common services.

• Knowledge of Exchange server setup and configuration

• Knowledge of security maintenance using encryption, firewalls, IDS, anti-virus, anti-spam etc.

• Knowledge of ISP/Communication Providers and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).

• Knowledge of PBX phone system with voice over IP setup experience is a plus.
