New Mexico Dock Safety Coordinator

Job Description

This individual will be responsible for the safety in and around the dock areas for equipment being loaded/unloaded. They will be responsible to ensure that all safety protocol is being adhered to by all individuals on the dock. This includes all Intel, supplier, and trades employees. They must be knowledgeable with the Intel docking and rigging standards. They will work with the Intel EHS team to ensure dock procedures, documentation and training are clearly communicated and posted around the dock locations. They will work closely with the rigging company safety team to ensure PTP's are properly completed daily. If there are safety concerns, non-compliance, or issues, they are to stop work immediately until concerns are addressed. They will be responsible for all dock safety and are responsible to resolve any "stop work/safety concerns" and approve resume work on the dock. They will not be responsible for the docking schedule; their focus is dock safety.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Good understanding of equipment rigging and movement. Have a good safety background and willing enforce all safety requirements.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • OSHA 500 and OSHA 510 certification and material handling experience would be desirable qualifications.

  • Individual should have minimum of 3 years of tool move experience.


Preferred Qualification:

  • This includes experience with and understanding of crating procedures, i.e. crate dimensions, lifting/moving crates, DOT transportation requirements and standard rigging techniques.

  • They should be very familiar with dock procedures and have a strong safety background.

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
