The Shift Production Manager (SPM) aka, Captain of the Ship (COS) is responsible for managing the tactical operations of the factory to ensure we meet product delivery commitments, result of meeting output, cycle time, and quality goals. The SPM is also the senior leader on shift and leads the containment and escalation/resolution of acute events around Safety, Quality, People, and Operations. The SPM partners with the Shift Group Leaders to ensure 7x24 capability and performance to goals. In this role, you will partner across sites/departments (Production, IE, Automation, Engineering, Planning, etc) to transfer/integrate and ramp technologies within our existing HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) systems, to include benchmarking, copying, developing, implementing, and continuously improving operational standards, best-known methodologies, and multiple business processes and systems. This will also include identifying and evaluating alternatives or contingencies to any start-up/ramp barriers. Partnering with the other CWW leaders and Engineering organizations to manage resource interdependencies will be a critical task/skill. To support the Foveros ramp, NMDM will be growing to 3 SPM per shift. Shift and technology alignment is to be determined, depending on the capabilities and interests of the incoming candidates and the existing SPM team. The first two adds will work days,

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits/skills:
Understanding and application of manufacturing methodologies and principles (manufacturing science/factory physics) and line management strategies and tactics.
Understanding and application of Quality Control systems, Model Based Problem Solving, and LEAN principles.
Ability to learn new, complex systems and leverage them to optimize factory performance.
Ability to effectively communicate ideas using written and verbal means to all levels of the organization.
Ability to partner, influence, negotiate, and drive accountability within diverse functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
1+ years in manufacturing/engineering management.
5+ years of manufacturing and operations experience.
1+ years of people management experience.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
2+ years' experience with manufacturing operation systems and inventory management fundamentals.
2+ years' experience with Intelligent Manufacturing Systems.
