Position Overview:

As ADI expands into new product and market segments, the Microwave Communication Group is looking for a highly skilled and motivated New Product Specialist, who will be responsible for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet project deadlines, organizing order and shipping dates for components, and helping with early development through release to sales.

 

As a New Product Logistics, Specialist, you will:

  • Regularly synchronize with team members from design, applications, assembly, and manufacturing to receive and provide updates regarding material and packaging needs to support the development of new products
  • Anticipate potential issues in the project management workflow and take proactive steps to resolve the issues by working with teams, suppliers and external stakeholders
  • Communicate regularly with team and suppliers to ensure adequate supplies of materials and packages are ordered and available from beginning wafer fabrication through finished goods
  • Assign numbers to new products in the system and removes obsolete numbers
  • Interface with the customers and/or attend customer meetings to apprise them of delivery of new project sample; own new product sampling and processing to ensure on time delivery of samples to customers
  • Review and maintain all product bill of materials sheets to ensure there is an adequate capacity of materials for product development
  • Train and assist new product coordinators on the job
  • Advise teams on efficiencies in packaging and material use and provides alternative options as available

 

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Ability to manage product development logistics
  • Ability to resolve system problems of diverse scope and complexity as needed
  • Exercise sound judgment within established practices and policies
  • Ability to build relationships; interact in team meetings as well as specific matters between functional areas and other company departments
  • Ability to act as an advisor to product schedules and identify opportunities to resolve problems to achieve business goals

 

Requirements – Minimum Qualifications of the Job:

  • BS, BA, AA degree (preferred but not required) or at least 3-4 years of relevant experience
  • Problem solving experience
  • Experience with project management
  • Proficient in MSOffice with strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work with little supervision and problem solve
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required
