Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a New Product Development Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Pleasanton, CA location. Position Overview: The New Product Development Engineer will interface with customers and global product engineering teams through full life cycle product development. In this role, you will also design and develop the power electronics components as well as circuits and implement them to production. In this function, you will: Interact with our strategic customers and interpret their specifications to define product requirement for power electronics component and circuits design. Architect and design power magnetics component & analog power electronics circuits meeting cost and quality target. Perform engineering analysis and generate detailed design of component and system. Generate qualification plan and test protocol for component and system. Prepare and maintain the engineering documents. Interact with multifunctional team (design, manufacturing, quality, and sourcing) in global locations to implement power electronics component and circuits into production within budget and quality target. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is required. Minimum 3 years of passive component or analog circuit design required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation is provided for this role. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Pleasanton, CA will be considered.
