Your New Casual Role - 2 nights per week

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overnight hotel operations. This is a hands on role, highly customer focused, and requires an individual can lead by example in meeting and maintaining our team brand standards. In addition, you will:

  • Hold responsibility and accountability for the efficient operation of the Hotel overnight.
  • Cross check and balance work completed during the day for all outlets on shift.
  • Prepare reports to reflect the trading result of the property on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Take and prepare room service orders.
  • Effectively handle guest complaints.
  • Ensure house security to include fire prevention and protection, health, safety and staff checks, detection of breaches of security and the laws by which the company is governed.
  • Maintain responsibility for the overall auditing and administration function of the night team.
  • Responsible for all other departments in the absence of their respective managers for the duration of the night time operation.
  • Be available at all times for guest queries.
  • Ensure the hotel is operating efficiently and according to hotel policy.
  • Participate in workplace consultation on matters pertaining to WHS, as required.

About You

The successful candidate must have the ability to build Human Connections, and lead from the Heart.

A creative problem solver, you will demonstrate with ease your:

  • Adaptability to all tasks and enjoy a variety in your workload such as reception and concierge duties, financial reporting, room service, cleaning and maintenance responsibilities.
  • Ability to work night shifts (11:00pm-7:00am) across a rotating roster including weekend work and public holidays.
  • Enthusiasm to connect with guests and team members and to hear their story.
  • Excellent grooming and presentation standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • High level of computer literacy – Excel and Opera PMS experience preferred
  • Holding of an RSA and Approved Manager License
