Ø Welcome and register the guests who check-in at night according to the procedures.

Ø Promptly notify housekeeping of all late check in.

Ø Assist the receptionist for the early check-out

Ø Answer the phone for inside and outside calls.

Ø Handle Wake up Calls

Ø Follow the message handling procedures.

Ø Handle every kind of requests and complaints of the guests at night.

Ø Stay up-to-date on room rates, packages, discounts and how to handle each.

Ø Get information about the daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel.

Ø Check and rectify if necessary room charges and taxes to guest account.

Ø Check all account postings and balances.

Ø Verify if all the expenses have been charged on the bills of the guest

Ø Make sure all rebate vouchers are justified and signed by the relevant HOD

Ø Post guest charges that were not posted by the Front Office cashier during the day.

Ø Summarize the results of operations for reporting to management.

Ø Save and print the accurate reports for the accounting department.

Ø Resolve room status discrepancies.

Ø Identify and solve the cashier auditing problems.

Ø Report any unusual occurrences and requests to his superior.

Ø Follow all safety and emergency procedures and how to act upon them.

Ø Control the issue of room key.

Ø Know cash handling procedures.

Ø Develop knowledge about other departments, their staffing, services and hours of operation in the hotel.

Ø Develop thorough knowledge of the software used in the Front Office.

Ø Attend all assigned training programs.

Ø Help to minimize wastage, neglect, breakage and mishandling of equipments and supplies.

Ø Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area.

Ø Apply strictly all safety and hygiene policy, regulation and procedures of the hotel (HACCP).

Ø Adhere to the grooming standards of La Veranda Resort.

Ø Conduct herself/himself in a respectable way so as to provide a role model for other staff.

Ø Take full responsibility of tasks that has been assigned to her/him.

Ø Must be able to work independently with little supervision, as well as have the ability to consider, evaluate and make sound business decisions regarding question as problem solving. 

Ø Must be familiar with all hotels procedures, regulations.

Ø Based on an annual evaluation by the Front Office Manager.

Ø Basis for evaluation will consider the ability to perform the job functions and handle special projects as assigned.  

Ø Perform other duties as maybe assigned.

Ø Additional hours necessary to provide support for special functions that require the assistance of a Night Auditor. 




Work Experience

Preferably in the hospitality industry. Ability to work in a computer based, multi-task environment
