Job Description
Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a North America Purchase for Resale Manager to join our team. This position can be based at either our Syracuse, NY or Highland, IL facility. Position Overview: This role is responsible for leading the Sourcing, Service, Inventory Management and Revenue strategies that align externally supplied finished good material to customer demand for the NAM purchase for resale business. This role will oversee approximately $360M in annual revenue, $75M of annual supplier spend, $20M of inventory, and service 700,000 lines of customer orders annually. The prime function is to continually refine and remove waste from sourcing activities, reduce lead-time, inventory, and cost, improve AR and S-OTD and improve customer service limiting the risks within this supply base. The right individual drives lower materials costs and supplier performance, including process and service improvements and productivity throughout the supply chain. A key success driver is the ability to work cross-functionally to develop and implement purchasing strategies that establish long-term sourcing partnerships, identifying & developing cost reduction opportunities. Key responsibilities include: Provides direct management & indirect matrix management of this externally supplied product Supports and develops core vendors and strategies that maximize cost, delivery, and transaction cost Drives to meet the On Time Delivery targets by putting in place the needed sourcing capacity, resources, and systems, utilizing CH/BL best practice Involved in negotiating major purchase agreements as assigned with direction and support from the Global Strategic Sourcing Manager Manages S-OTD, PPV, AR, Inventory, Supplier Quality and MCER Inflation to required levels consistently Contributes to the implementations of VAVE, Lean Manufacturing, Lean Supply Chain and Six Sigma methodology Develops with HR an environment conducive to personal learning and development ensuring all team members are fully informed and equipped to deliver maximum performance. Develops managerial and other talents necessary to achieve long range objectives by effective direction and training. Evaluates and manages the Purchase for Resale team’s performance providing additional strength and depth to meet customer’s expectations of lead time and service.
