Job Description
- Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
- Coordinating internal reporting and reviewing of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results
- Managing the budget process and cost allocation for the Group Vice President (GVP) cost center and Information Technology allocation for the Asian region of Label and Packaging Materials segment, including variance analysis and corrective action initiation
- Acting as a strong finance business partner for the regional IT function
- Handling ad hoc projects in the areas of accounting, controllership, statutory requirements, tax and treasury
- Preparing business results analysis and special reports as requested by regional management
- Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
- Coordinating activities of external and internal auditors
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
- Overseeing regulatory and statutory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
- Liaising with regional management and Corporate
- Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a reputable local or overseas university
- Solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills; Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in accounting/finance, and 5 years and above as managerial level
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
- Experience with financial reporting and internal control requirements
- Experience with multinational operations and reporting and shared service organizations
- Experience with U.S. GAAP reporting
- Willing to travel within the region
