Recording Collection: Please help us on a voice recording project to develop automatic speech recognition solution.

The project request you create a sentence follow the Topic and Relevant Topic shown on Appen Task screen
and record it with this App. The sentences mush be following the topic, Relevant Topic is a hint.
Participants can make a sentence by reasonable imagine based on specific topic environment. This sentence
must be related to the Topic which will be provided, such as general oral conversation, social economy, and
education, etc. Each sentence shall be around 5 to 8 seconds.
Example:
Topic: Social economy
Make sentence: Apple's stock price has plummeted recently; I think the government should help it to control
this situation.
Please make sure that the gender you input is correct. We won't arrange payment if you key in wrong data.
It is ideal for a single person to record around 1000 sentences. The content of each sentence requires semantic
integrity, grammatically correct, cannot repeat the same word, and avoid voice freezing. You won't receive
payment if you record less than 100 sentences.
Use normal conversation style to record your sentences, please be natural and smooth. Keep a proper distance
from the recording equipment when recording, and the recommended distance is around 15cm.
The recording needs to be conducted in a very quiet environment without echo and noise, office or home is
acceptable, but you MUST make sure the environment is quiet and the voice is laud than normal otherwise the
record will be rejected. You will only be paid for the qualified part. （Very important）
DO NOT make the same sentence when you get the same Topic more than once. Please do not just repeat the
sentence you have made, try to design a new sentence for that.
DO NOT read a text, script, book, or newspaper for the task. You MUST make a sentence by yourself. The
sentence must be understood and might be used for daily conversation.
DO NOT make any sentences that are related to race, gender, religion, country of origin, or any content that
might make others unpleased. Our reviewers are from all over the world!
DO NOT stop more than one second when you are recording. Otherwise, it will be invalid.
DO NOT use the same equipment to record and everyone could record one time only otherwise it will be
invalid. We have system to check if you are duplicated recording or use the same equipment.
DO NOT to click abandon button. If you want to exit, make sure to turn it off in the background after the
upload is successful, and you can continue recording next time.
Do Not to make the sentences with ah, um, haha, or repetition words…only, it will be invalid
The audio should be completed. We won't pay the incompleted sentences.
After recording all the prompts, please wait for the APP to upload all the audio files to the server. Please Do
Not minimize the App or disconnect from WI-FI until you see the files successfully uploaded. (it may take a
couple of mins to upload depending on the network connection)
We would like to remind you that if you do not follow the guidelines above, you will not be able to receive
payments.
