We wish to appoint an experienced and registered nurse to join our team of teachers and support staff. This colleague will take responsibility for first aid and emergency care for everyone in the school. She/he will lead in all medically related areas, including health and safety. Additionally, she/he will liaise with, advise, guide and support students, staff and parents, as well as coordinate with relevant outside agencies.

Requirements
Ideally, this applicant will have had previous experience working with young people in an educational setting. We will need the successful candidate to speak and write excellent English, to be a skilled communicator, decision maker and to work both autonomously and inter-dependently. It is essential that our Nurse demonstrate a genuine interest in getting to know our students and in understanding their contexts, both at home and at the College. It is very important to us that our Nurse is a compassionate, empathetic, capable and trustworthy professional. The school Nurse works closely with our Social Worker, Counsellors, Learning Support and Guidance team, too, so there are many different types of relationships which necessitate her/his specialist insight. Competence and confidence with computers is also necessary.

This post is full-time but term time only. The successful candidate will have unpaid leave each year during the ESF school summer holidays.

The position is immediately available.
