Job Description

GAR as a region contributes to more than 30 percent of Intel's revenue currently, is made up of 15 countries, 38 sites and approximately 1/3rd of the global employee population.
Huge capital investments have been made in the region and particularly in Malaysia. As we ramp up hiring and operations, it is vital to identify and develop specific organizational capabilities and capacity.

Therefore, we have created this position of the Malaysia OD Partner, which will be based in Penang.
Given that you will interact with apex management and global leaders, we are looking for seasoned professionals.

Role and Responsibilities

The work itself would be technically stimulating, would involve partnering with stakeholders in a manufacturing environment and would entail co-creating solutions with global teams.

You can expect to play any or all of the following roles:
1. Trusted Advisor: You combine deep expertise, trust-centered relations and emotional intelligence to provide tailored advice or act as a sounding-board.
2. Consultant: You frame or reframe the problem statement, diagnose the need and co-create options with clients based on granular understanding of the context.
3. Specialist: You design and deliver interventions that generate outcomes. You may also contribute as an input-giver to global projects or create knowledge artefacts.
4. Project Manager: You, in some cases, structure and lead a project through its lifecycle. This would involve leading regional teams without authority.
5. Helper: You help shape a positive environment, guide or teach colleagues (out of passion and not as a deliverable) and share knowledge openly.

Broadly, you could expect to fulfil the following responsibilities:
1. Diagnose, design and deliver integrative OD interventions that enhance the effectiveness of manufacturing operations.
2. Address hard business goals that would involve working with levers like organization design, culture, socio-technical system approaches, workforce optimization and team learning.
3. Partner with HR colleagues and business executives to understand underlying issues. Through a dialogue process, help translate priorities into coherent actions. Additionally, propose options that are in the best interest of the business.
4. Anticipate issues, connect the dots and propose (including create) solutions. This includes cross-pollinating existing products or creating products from a zero-base.


Qualifications

The competence that you will need to demonstrate in order to be able to perform this job would be:
1) Can craft hypotheses for any problem from ground-zero
2) Can facilitate group dialogue and offer a teachable point of view to an audience
3) Can analyze a problem or situation from multiple lenses
4) Can sense what drives people through observations and conversations
5) Can find meaning and a method amidst severe ambiguity
6) Can get things done with speed and discipline

You would need to have demonstrable experience to be able to perform this job.

1) Have led at least one complex project in any professional area or discipline
2) Have had at least one significant failure in a project
3) Have acted as a consultant to a senior leader or business group
4) Have at least 8 years of structuring, designing and facilitating OD interventions
5) Have designed interventions in organization design, job evaluation, performance management, culture change, Merger or Acquisition due-diligence, workforce optimization
6) Have (preferred but not mandatory) experience in the manufacturing/semiconductor industry or have delivered a medium- or long-term OD assignment in the same
7) Have (preferred but not mandatory) 3 years of experience in any of the following areas:
a. Product development
b. Quantitative research and analytics (any domain)
c. Design and implementation of a system

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
