Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Director.  This position requires a mature thinker with solid experience in the F&B industry. Direct experience in Food & Beverage supply in Hong Kong and Macau is essential.

Job brief:

We are looking for an experienced Fresh Market Operation Manager to organize and oversee our market activities as well as fleet management. You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people. The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.

 Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the market includes purchasing, order management, facility management and logistics
  • Formulate policies and action plans by targets, budgets, forecast and planning
  • Develop and maintain high standards for operational activities, ensuring an efficient and quality management system in place
  • Develop and manage organizational resources, policies and procedures for increased depth and breadth of capabilities
  • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively and manage the teams with different shifts
  • Take an active role in workload planning and volume forecasting for the site
  • Initiate continuous improvement on workflow, quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction metrics
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
  • Maintain and enhance excellent relationships with new and existing clients, oversee customer support processes and exceed customer satisfaction
  • Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations and contractual metrics
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing safe work practices
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a positive attitude and encouraging teamwork

 Requirements

  • BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field, with F&B background
  • Experience in cold chain, fleet management, and sizable team management for at least 5 years, experience in fresh market and fresh food supply chain is highly preferred
  • Strong business acumen, with in-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
  • Strong sense of technological application and innovation
  • Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines
  • Outstanding people management and communication skill, can collaborate and work with all levels.  Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Strong ability to evolve and succeed in a fast-paced and competitive environment
  • Good command of speaking and writing in English, Cantonese
  • Candidate with less experiences will be considered as Assistant Operation Manager.
