Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking a OPEX Lean Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Cleveland, Tennessee. Relocation assistance will be provided. Position Overview: This position requires ability to lead the implementation and deployment of ELSS for the Cleveland plant; coordinate the overall activities of the Lean Implementation Team and Tool Champions for the eight tools of Continuous Improvement Framework; develop and execute a strategy of continuous improvement in support of CIF implementation and of business and strategic goals. S/he will also lead kaizen events (Rapid Improvement Events) and train others in the proper use of Lean and CI tools. The OPEX Lean Supervisor will assist leadership in meeting all Operational Assessment (OpA) criteria required to achieve Model Plant status. In this function you will: Lead the plant’s lean implementation team and drive efforts to make Eaton’s Lean System the primary continuous improvement program driving overall business performance improvements. Establish and execute Value Stream Mapping (VSM), business cases and implementation plan in line with annual and strategic plans. Act as VSM tool champion. Identify and coordinate lean improvement opportunities (Kaizen events) leading to improvements in on time delivery metrics while reducing costs and inventory. Facilitate Kaizen events to successfully improve business and manufacturing processes. Events to include report out sessions as well as establishment and tracking of action plans. Train and support Lean tool champions to assure appropriate deployment of Kaizen events and improvement methodologies to drive overall improvement initiatives and assure a strong overall Lean Implementation Team. Schedule and coordinate Lean Implementation Team meetings to communicate improvement status, coordinate gemba walks, maintain schedule of events and to keep leadership team engaged in the process. Track and communicate progress of Cleveland lean deployment through ELSS assessment process, lean tracker, 4-Up charts, and lean metrics. Possess a working knowledge of relevant ISO 14001 and 9001 standards, as well as Eaton’s Global Management System for the Environment, Safety, Security and Health (MESH) and Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS).
