The intern will be working with senior engineers in the team doing research in the system software domain area. Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a software technical nature. In this role, responsibilities include, although not limited to researching x86 CPU instructions, identifying bottlenecks in the library, and OS Software, improving the performance of the system, and publishing benchmark results externally.

Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. The experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork, classes, research, or relevant previous job and internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• 1 year or more of experience with C, C-like, Python, and GoLang
• Good understanding of networking, operating systems, and computer architecture

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$52,000.00-$147,000.00

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
