1. Plan and prepare lessons in line with the OSSD subject schemes, using appropriate teaching methods and resources.
2. Undertake rigorous forms of lessons, making planned and effective use of all teaching and tutoring time.
3. Ensure the effective and efficient deployment of classroom support.
4. Ensure students are fully prepared for both on-campus and external examinations, contests, etc.
5. Provide necessary support to students during semesters, exams, and application seasons, including necessary in-and-out-of-class sessions, assessment and feedbacks, office hours, personal trainings, mock interviews, references, etc.
6. Assess and record each student’s progress through observation, questioning, testing and marking. Assessment should be strictly in standardised OSSD format, meeting the requirements set out by the overseas partner schools of BHS.
7. Take part in lesson observations to share good practice and as part of the school’s self-evaluation.
8. Encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, health & safety, standards of work and homework.
9. Provide guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters, if applicable.
10. Act on advice and feedback given and be open to support to improve own performance.
11. Any other duties requested by line manager, AD, or DOD link.
