Outside US Bone Medical Communications Senior Manager

What you will do
In this vital role you will be responsible for leading Outside U.S. (OUS) Medical Communications plans, programs, events, and scientific resources across multiple products within the Bone therapeutic area. The OUS Medical Communications Sr. Mgr. provides OUS input and helps drive digital communications and innovation in collaboration with global/affiliate Medical and C360 teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Contributes to Global and affiliate TA Medical Communication strategy and plans through scientific expertise, understanding of clinical and industry landscape, and understanding of appropriate (innovative) channels for delivery of medical and scientific content.
- Executes the multi-country medical education events in the ELMAC and JAPAC Corporate Operating Regions, including speaker/faculty selection, invitee selection, on-site execution, and impact measurement / metrics / insights.
- Reviews and provides input on Global Medical Content (GMC), as applicable
- In partnership with Global Medical, leads the OUS strategy for Tier-1 congress deliverables & key activities, including Medical Affairs booth and satellite symposia
- Leads the OUS prioritized strategy and deliverables for non-Tier 1 congresses including booth assets and activities
- Provides input and helps the development and implementation of innovative / digital communication formats and channels
- In partnership with Medical leads, drives scientific content development for OUS R&D advisory boards
- Ensure appropriate prioritization of needs and resource allocation to meet program goals on-time and within budget.
- Manage project-associated budgets and vendors
Some travel may be required — approximately 10-20%.

What we expect of you
We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. What we seek in you as an experienced professional, are these qualifications and skills:
- PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO with extensive relevant experience in clinical research, patient care, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and/or basic research (Other doctorate degrees may be considered)
- Prior experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development within the biopharmaceutical industry, and/or clinical or research experience in Bone therapeutic area
- Prior experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
- An understanding of the pharmaceutical commercialization process and knowledge of ELMAC/JAPAC regulatory and legal guidelines affecting promotion of prescription products
- Aptitude in writing and presenting on scientific and clinical data
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, time management, and project planning skills with strong ability for self-direction
- Demonstrated track record of strategic execution in a matrix environment with limited supervision
- The ability to work in teams and interface in a dynamic environment across corporate functions
- Understanding of disease landscape and clinical data to enable critical analysis of scientific literature and communicate implications cross-functionally
- Prior experience of successfully managing consultants and vendors
- Strong computer and database skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products
