Provides health services to employees or other persons on the company premises who become ill or suffer an accident. May work with Corporate Safety to recognize environmental factors and stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the employees. Responds to customer and client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
The Occupational Health Professional Nurse in Vietnam will be responsible for working with the Vietnam Occupational Health Program owner to provide support and consultation to Vietnam employees, outsourced Health service provider, vendors, and stakeholders.
OH Job Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Compliance to OH business processes, programs, standards, guidelines, medical directives and training.
Collaborating with OH and EHS stakeholders to ensure the right care at the right time for employees including business group, HR, Occupational Health Physician and Suppliers.
Comprehensive management of cases involving employees with either occupational or non-occupational conditions, including disability cases, affecting their ability to work.
Help drive continuous improvement aimed at enhancing the Intel OH program and experience.
Assist in managing OH clinic or manage contractors who operate OH clinics
Oversee OSHA record keeping compliance by suppliers. Validate work related injury and illness escalation or de-escalation cases.
Assures accurate documentation and strict privacy controls of medical data in compliance with all laws, regulations and appropriate standards
Ensure compliance to regulations and Intel Standards: OSHA audits of records.
Perform quarterly OH program Self Assessment and MMP audit in partnership with the OH nurse lead to ensure compliance to the OH programs and ensure timely closure of AR if any.
Maintain up to date knowledge of local laws and regulations pertaining to Occupational Health, accommodations, and local Workers Compensation Laws where applicable.
Collaborate on COVID 19 and other communicable disease cases with site OH lead and Corporate OH and local Department of Public Health.
Encourage a positive environment and experience for injured or ill employees.
Communicate to management regarding specific health and safety issues; escalation to Corporate and Senior Management as needed
Maintain strong working knowledge of pertinent EHS OH systems, e.g. database, e-mail accounts, VPN, encryption, etc.
Maintain current status for all required licensure and certifications.
Build and Maintain contacts with local and national resources to remain current on latest OH practices.
Assist in managing OH supplier working with the OH supplier's management to ensure smooth running of the occupational health clinics
Drive continuous improvement practices with all OH processes.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications: Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and be a Registered Nurse under Vietnamese Nursing council.
Min of 2-3 years work experience in a Hospital and/or 5 years of Occupational Health experience
Previous Medical Case Management or work experience in multi-national companies under OH department is a plus.
Excellent communication skills in both Vietnamese and English (written and spoken) to a high standard
