SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)

• Keeping and fostering close relationship with carriers, specially our core carrier partners.

• Working on ocean inquiries and RFQ’s, both with China sales teams, as well as with overseas offices/agents and Global tender management teams.

• Implementing and executing carrier strategy for China together with the Procurement team.

• Procurement and rate negotiations with shipping lines and other service providers for export, import as well as cross trades, according to company and customer requirements

• Negotiation and supervision of space allocations with carriers.

• Negotiation of special services and conditions, such as free demurrage and detention, or empty container pick-up or return in inland depots.

• Active participation in sales and marketing, giving commercial support to both sales teams locally in China, as well as overseas.

Helping with quotations as well as operation of special heavy lift projects.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor degree or above

• Minimum 5+ years working experience in ocean pricing & procurement of global forwarders or experiences with carriers, with 2+ years regional/country pricing experiences on a strategic level.

• Good relationships with carriers (European & Latin America trade lane).

• Solid operation related knowledge of global forwarders

• Strong interpersonal abilities both internally and externally

• Good presentation skill, listening skill and negotiation skill.

• Good English skill in both writing and speaking.

• Good PC skills of Microsoft Office Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

• Quick learner, good team player, strong self-motivated and result-oriented.
