Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Perform functions associated with all wafer production including operations, equipment, process and training

  • Equipment maintenance and repair, equipment troubleshooting, defect reduction, and other duties as required supporting Fab objectives

  • Work from technical manuals, specifications, drawings/diagrams, schematics, written and verbal instructions utilizing a variety of tools, test equipment, problem solving techniques and communication


All Shifts 4, 5, 6 or 7 Compressed Work Week Schedule in Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (Fab42/32/12) are available

  • 12 hour days from 6-6 (AM-PM – PM-AM)

  • Shift 4:  (nights frontend) PM-AM Sun-Tues and alternating Saturday nights

  • Shift 5:  (days frontend)   AM-PM Sun-Tues and alternating Wednesday days

  • Shift 6:  (nights backend) PM-AM Wed-Sat and alternating Saturday night

  • Shift 7:  (days backend)   AM-PM Thurs-Sat and alternating Wednesday days

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have an AAS Degree or certification in a STEM related field or;

  • Minimum 3+ months of semiconductor manufacturing experience or Military relevant experience

  • Must be willing to lift up to 35 pounds (18 kgs) at least 4 times a day

  • This position requires standing, walking, bending, and reaching during entire shift

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves

  • Willing to wear a respirator *Dry Etch/Diffusion/EPI

  • This position is not open for Intel immigration sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge on any of the following areas: electronics, equipment troubleshooting, installation, repair and operations

  • Experience performing hands-on, auto repair, welding, soldering, robotics, crafting, automotive

  • Experience with schematics and drawings/diagrams and Integrated circuit fabrication

  • Experience performing hands-on preventative, corrective maintenance on 300mm equipment in any area

  • Demonstrated skills to influence the content and creation of new specs, procedures and business processes related to equipment maintenance

  • Knowledge of process control systems

  • Experience with schematics and complex drawings/diagrams

  • Integrated circuit fabrication experience
