Job Description

The Office of the CIO (OCIO) within IT is a multi-disciplinary team whose scope includes strategy execution, portfolio and program management, Information Technology at Intel, learning and development, and workforce planning. Our team of seasoned leaders work across boundaries to drive key strategies and initiatives that often align to managing the business.

To establish and mature process and capabilities that span across the IT organization, we are looking for an OCIO Operations and Engagement leader to join our team, this leader is expected to be an out-of-the-box thinker that will bring creative ideas to life through communications and influence across a large IT organization. A highly visible role, the OCIO Operations and Engagement leader will work closely with IT General Managers and their staffs, Human Resources, Finance, Global Communications, and the broader software and advanced technologies group to implement and drive processes including (but not limited to): Information Technology location, hiring initiatives, organizational change management, budgeting, event planning and/or support, and diversity and inclusion. Additionally, this leader will serve as the Chief of Staff to the General Manager of the Office of the CIO.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

  • Represent the Office of the CIO on key initiatives and/or special projects.
  • Preparation of content for executive and staff level reviews.
  • Engage in cross-segment Chief of Staff forum and initiatives.
  • Partner with OCIO staff on organizational objectives and initiatives.
  • Support virtual employee engagement activities.
  • Partner with Human Resources on implementation of key strategies and needed organizational change management activities related to recruiting, hiring, location strategy, and future of work.
  • Partner with Global Communications team on IT communications to ensure alignment and the most effective methods for key messages.
  • Coordinate processes and efforts for internal recognition programs, partner with peer organizations to ensure alignment and communications needs, promote a culture of recognition within the IT organization.
  • Ensure IT leadership is aware of the cadence, responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Research and develop the roadmap for external recognition opportunities for IT; understand requirements for recognition opportunities and support drafting submissions with IT leadership and nominees.
  • Partner with Global Communications team to highlight awards as appropriate.
  • Program manage benchmarking and/or assessments process as needed for the OCIO and/or IT organization.
  • Serve as the OCIO Diversity and Inclusion Champion to lead the implementation of enterprise diversity and inclusion strategies throughout the IT organization.
  • Act as Finance point-of-contact for OCIO budgeting and forecasting cycles to ensure financial discipline and tracking of spend to departmental budgets, and support overall IT budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance or any other related field of study; or equivalent of 7+ years of working experience in the following disciplines in lieu of a degree:

  • Business Operations Management or equivalent roles
  • Planning, budgeting, resource allocation
  • Program/ Project Management

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$121,260.00-$193,880.00

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
