The External Relations manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic engagements that are relevant to Intel's neighbors and neighboring communities and driving Intel's Good Neighbor Program to enhance corporate reputation, protect license to operate and support growth.

This is an onsite position to work in the Central Ohio region.

As a Ohio Public Affairs, External Relations Manager  your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Willingness to occasionally work outside traditional business hours to support community engagement efforts.
  • Partner with local municipalities, Intel construction, site security and site strategic planning in order to understand current and future site needs as relates to construction projects, operations, and offsite needs regarding transportation, etc.
  • Create partnerships with local non-profit organizations on efforts that are important to community and enable Intel's business.
  • Own the risk mitigation and neighbor engagement strategy on all ongoing, new projects and engagements as well as identifying and leading any new opportunities to proactively engage neighbors on strategic initiatives.
  • Manages the Ohio Neighbor Relations Program serving as the primary contact for the local Ohio community to address and resolve neighbor and other community member inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintains working relationship with local groups such as neighborhoods and Home Owners Associations (HOA), neighboring businesses and property management companies.
  • Neighbor communications (public notice, direct mailings, email, phone, individually and/or via HOAs/property management companies), facilitating any public meetings or events with the community and preparing messaging for events or notices that may generate neighbor inquiries.
  • Manage external community forums such as the Community Advisory Panel. Develop agendas, meeting content and works meeting opens and public inquiries to closure.
  • Partner closely with the Ohio Public Affairs team to implement site wide initiatives and develop site strategy.
  • Provide general project management support to site wide initiatives as needed.
  • Manage the Community Advisory Panel including membership, charter and quarterly meetings.
  • Facilitate neighbor and public meetings/notifications
  • Manage all proactive neighbor communications or outreach
  • Respond to and disposition external inquiries
  • Maintain neighbor log documenting concern and resolution (to be used for air permit reporting and to meet ISO requirements)
  • Support ISO site audits
  • Lead efforts on Community Perception Survey
  • Support site visit model and logistics for elected officials, government agencies, business leaders, etc.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business Management or a related field of study with 4+ years of management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Event planning and management
  • Experience in Construction

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
