Essential Duties:

• Assist in sampling and laboratory activities. These specifically include traveling outside of campus to collect samples, processing samples, running PCR and various other laboratory techniques and experiments.
• Assist the lab manager, Wang Xinye, to take care of logistic and administrative work. These responsibilities can include but are not limited to the following: organizing laboratory workers and volunteers, ordering supplies, writing reports and working with various entities to ensure that the research being conducted is permitted and supported.

Required Qualifications:

• Have a strong interest in infectious diseases research.
• Willing to travel as needed to field sites.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized.
• Hardworking, quick learner with a can-do attitude, and team player.
• Great written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Preferably with lab working experiences.
