Job Description

Title: Online Logistics Specialist

Reports to:  Online Distribution Center Manager

Overall Job Function:

Operations (70%) – Manages information flow with 3PL to ensure proper volume data is communicated to facilitate planning. Recommends, initiates, and manages operational change to drive performance improvement. Monitors daily 3PL operations including process flow, performance, and KPI / SLA results. Analyses operations and transportation issues and 3PL performance, providing reporting on results.

 

Systems (30%) – Monitors interface between systems and serves as both systems super user and liaison between operations and IT. Is the primary operations contact for IT issues, working directly with IT to resolve. Recommends system enhancements based on operational need and manages system change including user acceptance testing and sign-off prior to change implementation.

Job Responsibility including but not limited to:
  • Manage information flow and departmental volume communication to 3PL
  • Make business decisions in providing workload prioritization to 3PL
  • Creates order release strategy to ensure high levels of customer service
  • Monitor daily operations, KPI’s, SLA’s
  • Coordinate and manage IT incident tracking and resolution
  • Manage operational and systems change
  • Act as system super user and liaison between IT and Operations
  • Analyze operations and transportation issues and performance
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and trend analysis

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Operations  Management , or
  • 2+ years of equivalent experience in Distribution or Logistics operations
  • Skilled with Microsoft office
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Ability to present analytical data and communicate effectively in a professional setting
  • Ability to grow into roles with greater responsibility
