Operation Director


Job Overview

Operation Director are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

Main Target Summary

Provides leadership for plant overall operations and supply chain organization. Defines Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning and New Product Launch strategies, ensuring commitments on cost quality and timing are met. Leading role in ensuring site level regulations are adhered to. Drive the site as center of excellence for manufacturing and supply chain, able to deliver high quality product across both high and low volume environments.


Tasks Summary & Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction for plant and supply chain, ensuring a clear pathway for success in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Material Productivity and Inventory is set. .production, costs quality.

Lead the team in tracking and continuous improvement KPIs, ensuring financial performance is achieved and paths are set for year on year improvement.

Work on the Manufacturing footprint and 5 year strategy, regularly updating and improving on targets and goals to establish a best in class environment

Provide clear and unambiguous leadership on effective employee communication, engagement and development, ensuring the team challenge and address employee relations issues.

Drive all Enterprise wide initiatives on Lean, Six Sigma and any other company wide policies and procedures

Drive Supply Chain excellent and establish excellence in sales and operational planning

Undertake a leadership role in budgets, inventory management.


Educational Degree

B.S. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field.

Advanced Degree preferred.


Professional Experience

15+ years experience in plant/ operations management

Proven accomplishments utilizing OpEx and Lean tools/methodologies (Six Sigma BB, Tool Champion, DOE, GR&R, FMEA, etc.)

Multi-site and multi-country experience.

Demonstrated ability to motivate all levels of the organization

Fast learner, able to quickly familiarize her/himself with existing methods and practices and new concepts/ideas

Fluent in Chinese and English both written and spoken
