Reports to: Head of Analytics

This role will endeavor to generate actionable quantitative insight on operation, to drive consistency of operation plan delivery, structural cost reduction and improve asset utilization by facilitating effective trade-off of constraints across various operational teams on analytical basis, as well as decision support on real-time basis. He/she will lead collaboration with Digital team and operation departments to ensure proper problem framing, hypothesis and decision framework forming, and analytical approach for either visualization or feeding to digital interface for decision-support. He/she will also design and implement world-class collection, preparation, integration, data modelling, statistical and mining techniques and visualization of operation data. Lastly, he/she will need to manage registry of operation analytics requirements to support value-based resource prioritization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish strategic and technical roadmap to implementing descriptive, predictive and gradually prescriptive analytical model across Operational stream to drive both analytical and real-time decision support
• Work closely with Head of Digital, Operation to understand overall transformation roadmap and strategic priorities, upcoming data and digital interfaces, implementation plan of integrated operational datahub (IOD)
• Work closely with Operation Stream to foster a culture of applying data & insight driven culture in decision making, and equip team with relevant training material and delivery mechanism
• Work closely with Heads of Digital and Analytics Governance & Quality Control Manager to ensure data quality at source, changes in business process, alignment of definitions and usage of data and dashboards, root cause analysis as well as recovery processes are well implemented and managed
• Work close with IT on accessibility and consistency of data and implication of changes driven by new process and projects, and oversee smooth operations and readiness of related analytics system and capabilities for Operations analysis
• Work closely with DPO and Governance Teams to ensure the correct of compliance processes are properly managed for the scope of work
• Equip and empower analysts and data scientists with required technical resource & skillset, as well as business appreciation
• Implement proper project and resource management with clear analytics requirement registry to ensure prioritization of resource to maximise value-generation
• Work closely with Customer Analytics Manager and Commercial Analytics Manager to enable, in longer term, cross-stream collaboration for overall enterprise insight generation

Requirements:

• University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, Operations Research or related disciplines, candidates with multi-disciplines a plus 
• Minimal 7 years of working experience relating to data & analytics
• Experience in leading data analysts and scientists from diverse background and with various skillsets
• Technical experience with leading mining tool sets and advance knowledge in data management
• Experience and understanding of system & process in areas of airline planning, airports, crewing, and engineering would be an advantage
• Curious, empathetic, open-minded, self-motivated, resourceful and strong continuous improvement mindset
• Team player with strong influencing and interpersonal skills
• Sound project management skills with solid experience in participating in cross departmental work and business process review
