We are currently seeking an Operational Buyer to join our Procurement Team to work in an exciting workplace in Port Melbourne, Victoria. In this position, you will be responsible for the order management of a set group of products, services, and commodities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will have day to day interaction with Siemens Mobility’s operations and engineering teams, as well as building and leading relationships with our key suppliers. This is an exciting role where no two days are alike. This is your role. What part will you play? End-to-End procurement Review and convert Purchasing Requisition into Purchase Orders for a defined set of categories Resolve complex delivery, ordering, invoice, or quality related discrepancies Leverage existing procurement processes and compliance while seeking to identify best management practices. Using a continual improvement mindset to create efficient processes Updating project plans and purchasing systems; review and analyses requisitions and supply plans from domestic and international purchases. Providing key insight back to the business on supplier related activities. Support Supplier Evaluations by collaborating with the Strategic Procurement, Engineering, and Quality colleagues Stakeholder Management Proactive collaboration with strategic procurement, production, quality, and logistics teams to improve the total cost of ownership in the defined category Actively expedites the delivery of prioritised products and requirements Work with all levels of cross-functional business partners Using Operational System Using Siemens’ ERP System (SAP) track the vendor's progress against the original and/or revised schedule Review and target supplier delivery improvements and late order resolution Generate, document, and implement savings to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent Use your skills to move the world forward. You have tertiary education in Business/Commerce, Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.
