Function/department: Product Excellence & Quality – Operational Engineering

Main responsibilities and tasks:

Manage and develop R&D organisation in China:

• Develop local strategy to align it with global R&D centers located in Hadsund (DK), Dongguan, Brooklyn Park (MN, US)

• Develop technical talents, organize trainings

• Establish one team culture with R&D centers
  

Procurement projects, cost down projects

• Work together with procurement to secure a competitive price level for our products

• Secure that solutions are tested and implemented in production

• Execute project deliverables according to quality, time, specification and business case

• Collaborate with procurement management about VA/VE and cost optimization projects

Coordinate the department resources allocation:

• Keep track of time and cost spent on projects and in the department

• Focus on resource allocation for projects to assure best utilization of talent

• Secure transparent and uniform way of working

• Assure support for procurement driven projects in the field of supplier development and parts sourcing activities

Fast reaction towards quality problems:

• Secure that quality problem are handled with speed and secureness

Test and validate new solutions

Qualifications & Skills:

Educational background:

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred

• Technical Manager

• Fluent in English, negotiation level

  
  

  Experience/knowledge/general skills:

• Fluent in English, negotiation level

• Great networking and negotiation skills

• At least 5 years of relevant management experience with leading own organization and / or project leadership experience.

• Experience and knowledge about advanced engineering design tools and prototype techniques is an advantage

• Experience with design review processes, and QA analysis tools and processes

• Knowledge about manufacturing processes and systems

• Able to communicate technical oriented information effectively, both orally and in writing.

• Able to relate available technologies to innovative product opportunities.

• Able to sell and promote ideas, motivate and create enthusiasm.

• Natural interest in new products, a basic curiosity and willing to go the extra mile

• Willingness to travel
