Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently recruiting for an Operational Excellence Manager – Canadian Satellites at our Mississauga, Ontario facility. Under the general direction of the Satellites Business Manager, this position will improve organizational effectiveness through the coordination and deployment of the Eaton Business System to ensure the business meets growth, productivity, and quality objectives. Specific responsibilities will be Continuous Improvement, Eaton Lean System deployment, Warranty management, and Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS and ISO9001-2015) deployment. It’s where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours Works through the leadership team to lead the development and implementation of the sites’ Continuous Improvement Framework, Lean and Six Sigma strategy, continuous improvement actions, and cross-functional activities including Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs). Provide analysis, data and metrics for key business drivers and reinforce knowledge of them throughout the operations. Drive the Eaton Lean System through involvement in project management (PROLaunch) activities, training, facilitation and deployment resources. Participate in the development of strategic Business Plans. This involves developing and implementing system optimization strategies, process improvements, operations excellence and cultural change tactics leading to world-class operations and performance. Drive continual quality improvement through the Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS). This includes EQMS, deployment as well as ISO 9001-2015 where applicable. Liaise across operations to ensure a systematic process is in place for full production cycle that maximizes customer experience. Manage the costs of quality – CONC, warranty, ELSS scores, EQMS scores and CI goals as applicable. Facilitate the implementation and reporting of scorecard metrics for the Satellite organization where applicable. Report KPI (EPM) results to the Satellite leadership team. Periodically travel to Canadian Satellite and Operation locations on an as needed basis. Plan and oversee capital equipment programs for manufacturing, facilities and information systems Lead national projects, investigations, certification processes and other critical initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Five (5) years’ experience in continuous improvement Candidate must be within 80km of Mississauga facility spending 3 days per week at the facility Candidate must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorships Preferred Qualifications: Formal training/certification in Lean (5S, Standard work, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Setup Reduction (SUR), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Material Flow (LMF) and 6 Sigma with at least 5 years of related experience. Experience in implementing Lean in Low volume High mix type product environment 3 years of Operations or Product Engineering experience Experience managing/leading others Formal ISO 9001 training as an auditor Position Criteria: Excellent communication skills Must be able to travel up to 25% within Canada Proven capability to lead change in a team environment. Strong analytical skills Proficient in Power Point, Visio, Minitab, PowerBI (or any Statistical software) Ability to manage multiple projects/activities across multiple sites Mentoring others on Lean and 6 Sigma activities What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
