The product company for piston compressors in Jiangmen, China is part of the Professional Air Division. The company is the production center for direct driven and belt driven piston compressors within the division and the competence center for global sourcing.

An energetic growth have seen the plant increase to double output in the last 2 years and is now approaching a new phase of growth.

In this expanding environment, the manufacturing plant transformation manager is responsible to lead the operational team to increase efficiency, to improve logistic flows, adapt production planning, evaluate possible automations and introduce a 5S mentality.

You are supported by your management and your local and divisional colleagues. As a manager, you will report directly to the local GM.

Mission

Operational Excellence Manager:

• Define and manage efficiency projects together with Process engineers and Operation Manager; report the project to the management

• Focus on internal logistic in order to improve plant layout and material flows

• Focus on production plans in order to minimize WIPs

• Define and manage possible automation projects to transform actual manufacturing organization

• Develop Jiangmen into a state-of-the-art and cost-efficient product company

• Focus on 5S projects

• Develop, train and lead the operational team to create a dynamic and entrepreneurial best in class organization and to strengthen their operational competences

• Develop a continuous improvement mentality

• Drive the organization to become a safe and healthy work environment.

• Supervise the preparation of the applications for new investments.

• Work actively with GM to develop Jiangmen as an operational excellence in the Division, with focus on quality of goods & services provided, delivery performance, lean, agility and resilience

Experience requirements

As a successful candidate, you will have 5 years, significant successful experience in operation management of a production site, preferable in a multinational company. Previous experience in managerial position will be an added advantage.

Educational requirements

An academic education, preferably engineer degree.

Knowledge

You have professional knowledge and competence within all aspects of the Operation functions.

You are fluent in Chinese and have a good level in English.
