Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Operations Accounting Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Syracuse, NY location. Position Overview: Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas is a leading manufacturer of quality support systems and enclosures for the electrical, mechanical and communications industries. This position reports to the Global Operations Accounting Manager for Crouse-Hinds, B-Line and Oil & Gas organization, working with Operations and Finance teams globally. This position focuses primarily on financial analysis, forecasting/ budgeting, month-end accounting tasks, and special projects. This position will get daily exposure to the different businesses and the finance and operational teams that make up the global business. In this function you will: Support the Operations Accounting Manager with required analysis and reporting. Maintain and issue the monthly GRIR and MRBR scorecards for the Group and global business units. Hold root cause reviews with under-performing businesses and develop action plans with the businesses for recovery. Assist with cost productivity reporting globally and drive standardization across the businesses. Assist with the annual standard cost rolls process for all business units within the Group. This would include coordinating the annual std cost request submissions, tracking dates, results, and result submissions to the Electrical Sector. Assist with the annual physical inventory process for all business units within the Group. This would include coordinating the annual PI request submissions, tracking PI dates, results, and result submissions to the Electrical Sector. Participate in operational meetings where applicable (Strategic Sourcing, Operation Scorecard, Cost Productivity and Headcount). Prepare assigned monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for key general ledger accounts, in compliance with Eaton Financial Policies. Ensure adherence to Eaton accounting policies and deployment of operational finance standard work and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting or IT. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Syracuse, NY will be considered. Previous accounting/finance experience within manufacturing Proven cross functional engagement or experience a plus Professional Certification (Lean Six Sigma, CMA) Position Criteria: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) Position will be required to develop sound knowledge of financial accounting systems such as SAP, and Hyperion (HFM). Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a complex, multi-national corporate structure.
