Job Description
If you are just about to graduate from a Bachelor's program or a Master's program and you want to be based in Beijing for the next few years, but you aren't interested in being an English teacher or an educational consultant, then Vericant may be just the company that you are looking for.

We help schools in Canada and the USA by doing admissions interviews with Chinese applicants, and we send high quality videos of each and every interview to our partner schools. Vericant Operations Associates not only interview applicants, but also take on a variety of projects integral to the growth of a business. One day, you might be flying to Hong Kong or Shanghai to interview students, to train new part-time staff, or to scout out a new location. The next day, you might be based in our Beijing headquarters to support our video editors and our translators so that our service stays top-notch. We expect our Operations Associates to grow quickly and take on a lot of responsibility. By the end of an interview season, former Operations Associates get an annual review, and have done such things as:
- Learned Python and written programs core to our processes
- Designed and implemented automated hiring systems
- Re-organized various aspects of our process
- Planned awesome company events

We are looking to hire 4-5 entry-level American or Canadian employees who can can help us grow to the next level. We aren't looking for people to make coffee or to proofread English documents or to teach conversational classes to our Chinese staff. If you join us, you'll be expected to prove yourself as a leader and a manager. You'll have to be resourceful, speak decent Mandarin, and have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Our company culture is very important to us, so if you speak other languages in addition to English and Mandarin, play ultimate frisbee, or are passionate about study abroad, that is a plus. We bring on a new cohort of Operations Associates every summer, so if you think that you have the skills and the mindset to grow with us, apply before June, 2016.
