Working within Medical Excellence, the CRM Operations Lead will play a pivotal role in deploying a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform to our global Field Medical teams. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of AstraZeneca’s Field Medical operations by providing critical information directly to the field teams and to capture strategically valuable information to inform direction. The role has additional accountability for Field Medical reporting associated with CRM data capture. This is a key position within AZ Medical Excellence with the remit of ensuring all of our internal stakeholder requirements are met through CRM strategy.  

Accountabilities:

  • Establish strong strategic relationships and act as point contact across key stakeholders, to develop a deep understanding of the business needs from our CRM solution
  • Coordinate business project resources throughout CRM platform migration
  • Liaise and coordinate project deliverables and milestones with IT project counterparts
  • Work with each region and market to identify specific legal / compliance requirements
  • Develop and own CRM migration change management and communication plan
  • Define and realise Medical CRM activity reporting strategy. Align business rules, metrics & calculations with global and regional requirements. Partner with Commercial IT and Medical Analytics & Reporting team to ensure common acceptance, view and understanding of CRM data
  • Partner with stakeholders and Commercial IT to ensure downstream reporting reflects needs
  • Drive for simplicity and integration across CRM and other Medical platforms to enhance the field medical experience
  • Work to align Market and Regional requirements with global strategy
  • Be the ultimate decision maker in CRM & Reporting Change Control Board (CCB) review meetings
  • Manage business relationship with key IT stakeholders including CRM Centre of Excellence (COE), Biopharmaceutical Medical (BPM) IT, CRM vendor Consultants, Commercial IT, Release Management
  • Be a champion of technology and innovation; identify industry leading solutions to meet evolving challenges and user requirements of CRM solution
  • Adopt a collaborative, cross functional working culture to ensure alignment between Medical Biopharmaceuticals, International, Japan, China, and Oncology Business Unit
  • Ensure and monitor compliance within CRM

Essential Skills:

  • Medical experience in the pharmaceutical, commercial or business environments 
  • Bachelor’s degree in medical or science discipline or relevant business experience
  • In-depth knowledge of medical affairs with experience of working across global, regional and local networks
  • Significant experience with CRM platform management
  • Strong project management skills. Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and management

Desirable:

  • Experience working with and managing 3rd party vendors
  • Proven experience leading a team
  • Understanding of the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products
