This position is responsible for leading advanced analytics and optimization solutions to multiple functions within the Mexico Pet Nutrition Supply Chain. This role will be part of a physical logistics team providing applications and tools, new research and insights. This position is responsible for designing detailed and complex logistics analyses of information from various sources to assist in managerial decisions as well as developing and implementing tools and applications that lead to improved customer service and accelerate logistics conversion costs (LCC). This position is also expected to create and lead projects that positively impact all aspects of Logistics performance, including transportation spend, warehousing, customer service and Do it Best initiatives. This position requires in depth knowledge of Supply Chain information systems to effectively combine all relevant data streams into applicable modelling solutions.
The job is to be a “change agent” and leader of implementing game-changing workstreams to optimize MX performance and develop future-proof capabilities. It has a high level of exposure and engagement with senior stakeholders, and broadly connects internally and externally
What are we looking for?
- Engineering degree with proven level of numeracy and analytical capability, with strong interpersonal skills and supply chain fundamentals – or relevant professional experience
- Proficient English
- Supply chain background, >5 years Supply experience or equivalent experience
- Affinity and experience with E2E supply chain, lean philosophy, and project management
- A good dose of learning and people agility
- Solid analytical skills, with ability to quickly drive insights & actions out of data to pro-actively maximize value
- Ability to simplify complex matters and communicating efficiently to diverse audiences
- Track record in building collaborative relationships, demonstrated capability to work effectively with others in a remote environment and eager to engage with a wide stakeholders community
- Very strong drive for results and motivation to deliver in a central / remote environment
- Willingness to travel (post Covid TBD)
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Leader of the 2022 -2025 network optimization strategy to support the END-TO-END SUPPLY CHAIN journey within Mexico: co-create and implement the strategy in his/her area, focusing on service, cost and cash
- Responsible for developing analytical tools and business systems to drive LOCAL COST-TO-SERVE PROJECTS. Measure, report and analyse the performance in supply chain/logistics across E2E supply chain (factories-3PL’s – customers) in order to set up and drive improvement initiatives across distributions channels.
- Partner with Regional SC IE team to validate network models and optimization scenarios within the context of Manufacturing expansion ( WET, DRY & Care & Treats) projects and any changes in scope or design
- Stakeholder management across multiple functions and stakeholders to collect, validate and prepare data on a regular basis to refresh supply chain solutions
