Job Description
Eaton’s Bussmann division is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Juarez facility. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the overall resource management and production of the manufacturing processes at the Juarez Bussmann facility. The position drives continuous improvement in production, quality, and safety while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) and directly responsible for the High Five Business Metrics. In this role, you will: Broad responsibilities and leadership of a multi-disciplined, cross-functional team with overall accountability for performance of FF1, FF2, FF3, FF4 and OPEX Departments of the Bussmann plant. Direct operations, management of budgets, manning, capacity planning, equipment utilization and scheduling in accordance with production plans to meet profit plan. Plan and coordinate manufacturing departments and support groups to effectively meet customer requirements. Provide leadership to the teams to meet or exceed the operational objectives of on-time delivery, past dues, productivity scrap/rework, maintenance, and overtime utilization. Implement and utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and EBS tools for continuous improvement. Implement and deploy CIF plant wide. Lead cultural change of production work force that embodies the Eaton philosophy. Serve as a primary advisor on manufacturing systems, capabilities, production status, and forecast demands. Administer policies, safety and communications within group. Launch New Product Introduction by utilizing production equipment and flex production personnel and resources in order to stream line reduce time and costs. Be responsible of production floor layout for lean continuous improvement, product line expansion and future growth. Be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment in order to sustain the level of performance required in productivity and efficiency. Prove ability to manage exempt and hourly people in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Preferable electrical sector experience. Record any measurable statistics which your position impacts such a production expenses maintenance expenses, sales volumes, payroll costs, capital expenditures, research budgets, cost of purchases, value of inventories controlled, employees supervised(direct and indirect). Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution required Bilingual English/Spanish 7-10 years of related experience. 7-10 years supervisory/managerial experience within a manufacturing setting.
