Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our team in Washington, PA. Position Overview: Eaton's Crouse Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas Group has an exciting opportunity for Operations Manager within our Washington, PA manufacturing plant. This position will be responsible for managing, directing, planning, and coordinating of the Pre-Formance assembly’s department. Working directly with sales representatives, product line managers, supervisors, and other functional leaders to ensure quality products are produced, shipped, and received by customers. As our PRE-Formance business expands, this position would represent the operational side of the business through its growth. This position would ensure the safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity of any and all Pre-Formance operations. This position helps coordinate and optimize PRE-Formance production products between three sites. Eaton's Crouse-Hinds Business manufactures over 100,000 products for NEC and IEC applications, including: conduit fittings and cable glands, industrial control and electrical apparatus, enclosures, industrial luminaires (including LED), plugs and receptacles, drilling and marine products, commercial construction and solar solutions. Washington, PA is the home of the Eaton Crouse-Hinds commercial outlet box facility which manufactures steel boxes, covers, and pre-fabricated electrical assemblies. In this function you will: Act as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Eaton Business System (EBS) processes and problem-solving tools such as Standard Work and 5S. Responsible for the SQDIP of Preformance operations Commission and assist with onboarding Load Center operations where applicable to the business. Directly manage 1 salaried supervisor Oversee day to day operations of approximately 45 hourly workers Implement and standardize CI focuses and improvements at 3 locations within PRE-Formance business Create and establish production schedule with product line managers and supervisors Forecast production shipment targets, and execute delivery amounts Implement reliability focused maintenance plan with machine optimize and equipment across 3 sites Work directly with safety, supply chain, engineering, quality, and HR functions to support PRE-Fab operations Report out on daily management meetings, with plant manager and team Grow and develop talent, and cascade goals to define formal succession plan Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and Zero Incident culture enforcement. Implement machinery and equipment to MESH 8.0 standards improving ergonomic safety across 3 sites Write capital procurement requests allocating funds to support safety and productivity Implement industry 4.0 inventory measuring systems across 3 sites Optimize KPI’s at a department level, ensuring accountability and completion related to all functions of Eaton’s High 5 metrics MESH Element Champion owner and project manager of safety related categories and programs at site level Why work at Eaton? Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment 5+ years of leadership experience Experience with Lean/Six Sigma. Experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives. Direct managerial experience within Operations or Manufacturing environment. Highly prefer experience utilizing DMM.
