Eaton’s Electrical sector (Power Reliability Division) is currently seeking a Operations Manager to join our team. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility. Our 300,000 square foot facility in South Milwaukee WI is home to various core processes including: coil winding, machining, technical assembly, testing and vacuum bottle production. Products produced in this facility include controls, switchgear and reclosers for the utilities, commercial and industrial markets. Position Overview: The Operations Manager is responsible for strategic and tactical operational management of our Switchgear Overhead assembly and VI/ECAP components line. Accountable for all aspects of operations performance, including safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and other cost measures. In this function you will: Champion a Safety Culture through using tools and best practices, to empower all employees to take responsibility for their own safety as well as the safety of everyone they work with. Ensure that environmental health and safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship. Provide leadership in commitment in strategic use of Eaton Business System practices, personally leading the use and documentation of processes with focus on performance of the entire Product line. Keep focus on meeting customer needs, both internal and external (Customer Centric Focus) through leading and lagging measures. Be responsible for daily operational performance indicators. Take appropriate actions to ensure safety, quality, schedule, cost, and productivity goals are met. Manage the “Tier review” process to track and understand key operational metrics (leading and lagging) and develop strategies and action plans to improve operational performance. Create & execute the profit plan for assigned product line, including labor and resource planning, managing material and support costs, and future forecast to deliver upon financial commitments. Analyze & present operational performance metrics and action plans to both Eaton senior leadership and customers. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Five (5) years experience in manufacturing/operations. Two (2) years experience in a manager of people role. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution.
