Job Description
Provide leadership to Procurement and Engineering (P&E) team in GSC CoE for managing and executing Procurement and Engineering workstreams. Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage and execute GSC P&E Goals like Cost out, Resiliency, Dual Sourcing Projects and Procurement Excellence, maximizing value-additions and own all the performance metrics. Ensure Eaton Standard sourcing process is followed and all tools like Should Cost, Ariba Guided Buying, GPS2.0, Revenue Risk Mitigation Process , SPIR is followed globally. Build Organizational Capability and Capacity to complement the growth and high performance expectations. Develop and enhance continuous improvement culture and drive the organization towards CoE. Own Attracting, Hiring, Engaging, Developing and Retention of diverse talent. Qualifications • B.E from a premier institute is a MUST.• MBA from a good institute preferred. • 15+ years of supply chain management experience. Exposure to CoE environment essential. • Core Sourcing knowledge • Clear understanding and exposure to Engineering drawings, Value Engineering (VAVE) , Cost reduction, Sourcing, Negotiation process • Good exposure in Cost Estimation, Negotiations and Supplier assessments is important. • Sourcing experience in key commodities like Casting, forgings, machining, Stamping, Electrical components • Working knowledge on part development tools & methodologies (including, but not limited to DFM, APQP, PPAP) • Should have exposure in elemental costing of parts related to commodities such as machining, Castings, Forgings, Stampings, Assemblies. • Should have worked in analyzing Total Cost of Ownership of products. • Should have actively engaged with Engineering function for developing new products and executing VAVE projects • Understanding on Supplier Development, Supplier quality • Process orientation Lead change management aligned to Eaton SCM KSI (Lean, VSM, 6 Sigma is an added advantage) • Good Category knowledge in electrical and Mechanical Excellent People Management skills coupled with an empathetic leadership style (Proven record of managing teams sizes of 150-200 resources) Fervent desire for getting results Strong sense of accountability for self and others • Strong program management skills, including change management • Excellent influencing / negotiation skills and ability to work multi-dimensionally in a complex business environment - ability to influence upward, peer-wide, and downward; • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to work effectively within teams and collaborate with other Eaton entities for completion of projects • Knowledge of data management in Microsoft Excel and Access • Self-directing and self-motivating • An individual with a strong sense of urgency and Customer focus • An individual with strong people development focus Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment for people everywhere.
